Job Overview

Bailjini has an extraordinary SEO opportunity: we are building the most comprehensive criminal law content library in India at exactly the moment when India's criminal laws have been completely rewritten. The BNSS, BNS, and BSA replaced the IPC, CrPC, and Evidence Act in July 2024. Every query about "bail under BNSS" or "Section 482 BNSS anticipatory bail" is an opportunity to rank, help someone in crisis, and bring them to Bailjini. The SEO & Content Strategist will own this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Own Bailjini's end-to-end SEO strategy: technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content planning, and link building
Plan and manage the Bailjini blog content calendar: criminal law guides, BNSS explainers, case analyses, and city-specific legal content
Brief legal content writers (or write yourself) for high-priority articles targeting transactional and informational legal queries
Conduct keyword research for criminal law, bail, and legal service queries across India's major cities
Optimise service pages, city pages, and job pages for target keywords and featured snippet capture
Implement and maintain schema markup: FAQPage, Service, Article, LegalCase, LocalBusiness, BreadcrumbList
Manage Google Search Console, track rankings, identify quick wins, and fix technical issues
Build Bailjini's backlink profile through legal publications, bar associations, and law school partnerships
Produce monthly SEO performance reports with clear insights and action points

What We Are Looking For

2–4 years of SEO experience with a track record of ranking content in competitive verticals
Strong keyword research and content strategy skills using Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools
Understanding of technical SEO: site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, crawlability
Ability to write or closely direct high-quality informational content in English
Knowledge of schema markup implementation (JSON-LD)
Experience with Google Search Console and Analytics 4
Interest in or basic knowledge of Indian law is a strong advantage
